Franco Borin
Franco Borin, founder of FB Model, since young age cultivated the passion for the brand Alfa Romeo and for modeling.
Origins
In the early seventies he creates models of Alfa Romeo assembling the first assembly kit white metal of the earliest manufacturers of special models in 1/43 scale as John Day, Pat Stanley, FDS, ABC.
After that he refined the techniques of editing and processing models thanks to the invaluable advice of Carlo Brianza and Vincenzo Bosica.
Meanwhile the research continues with historical documentation of Alfa Romeo, enriching its archive of books and thematic publications specialist motoring.
Franco Borin linked relationships with collectors and Alfa Model Club of various European countries in order to share their passion for the Alfa brand and to exchange technical information and photographic documents useful to the realization of the models.
PUBLICATIONS
He published some articles with tips for assembling the kits for some national newspapers such as Quattroruote, TuttoTrasporti and Quattroruotine.
For the head specialist Car Models is the author of several publications in installments related to the history of Alfa Romeo Mille Miglia through the model around the world and after the historiography of Tazio Nuvolari, Achille Varzi and Ing. Carlo Chiti.
